Registered Nurse (RN) – PRN Baylor Scott & White Health Waxahachie,
TX Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an experienced and
collaborative Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse (RN)
to join our team on a PRN basis at our Waxahachie location. This
role offers the opportunity to work in a specialized,
procedure?driven environment alongside physicians and a close?knit
care team. Position Details - Status: PRN - Schedule: Day Shift,
8?hour shifts - Hours/Shifts: Approximately 4–8 shifts per month -
Department Size: 6 employees - Unit: 1 Interventional Radiology
procedure room About the Role The Interventional Radiology RN
provides nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and
therapeutic IR procedures, including care requiring moderate
sedation. This role works closely with physicians and the IR team
to ensure safe, high?quality, patient?centered care throughout the
procedural experience. Key Responsibilities - Provide direct
nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology
procedures - Administer and monitor moderate sedation in accordance
with policy and competency - Collaborate closely with physicians
and interdisciplinary team members - Monitor patient status before,
during, and after procedures and respond to changes in condition -
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education throughout the care
process - Maintain accurate and timely documentation - Support a
team?oriented and positive work environment Required Qualifications
- Current Texas RN license - BLS and ACLS certifications required
upon hire - Moderate Sedation competency required upon hire -
Strong clinical skills and ability to function in a fast?paced
procedural environment Preferred Qualifications - Previous
experience in ICU, ER, PCU, or Step?Down Unit - Prior
Interventional Radiology experience preferred but not required

use nursing expertise to deliver patient care with the healthcare
team. Tasks include evaluating health, identifying issues, creating
care plans, and tracking treatment responses. Help patients
navigate their healthcare safely. Use knowledge of needs to prevent
issues. Essential Functions of the Role - Prioritizing patient and
family needs is crucial. Responsibilities involve developing,
implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans. Adjust as needed.

This includes maintaining confidentiality and voicing patient
concerns when necessary. - The successful candidate will manage
learning for patients and families. They will help nursing staff

basic understanding of the patient care practices, medical
terminology, medications, and equipment used in interventional
radiology nursing. - You must communicate clearly, both verbally

care. - The ability to track changes in patients' health and
communicate clearly with nurses and doctors. - Basic computer
skills, particularly knowledge of electronic medical documentation

Graduate of an Accredited Program or (2) years of work experience
above the minimum qualification - The applicant's major field of
study should be Nursing. - Candidates must be Registered
Nurses(RN). - A (BLS) Basic Life Support certification is required
or must obtain within (30) thirty days of hire
