Radiology Tech Location: Woodway, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,306 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiologic Tech Specialty: Radiologic Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ARRT, MRT Certifications: BLS (AHA Only) Must-Have: Experience in fluoro, OR (c-arm, O-Arm), trauma, portables Description: The Radiologic Technologist performs radiology procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury in accordance with established protocols. The technologist performs high quality radiology procedures, according to exam protocol, in a timely manner. They maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards and procedures. The position requires an understanding of radiation dose reference levels and monitoring, as well as actions to be taken if estimated doses exceed reference levels, which may include patient follow-up. Utilizing effective communication techniques, the technologist identifies patient service requirements, ensures correct exams are performed, and establishes rapport with patients and others. They instruct and communicate with patients and their families regarding the test to be performed and assess the patient’s ability to tolerate the exam. Preparing the patient and area for procedure involves positioning the patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. The technologist protects patients and employees by adhering to safety requirements, infection-control, drug and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques. They use proper sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive procedures and maintain hand hygiene requirements. The technologist maintains equipment and the work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards, working with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment. They report issues to management or the appropriate department and assist in maintaining supplies inventory. Ensuring individuals are safe to enter the department requires screening them according to approved policies and procedures. The technologist obtains, verifies, and maintains all relevant documentation such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, and shielding precautions taken. They maintain medical imaging records in the appropriate system according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner. Key success factors include the ability to perform high quality radiology procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner. The technologist should explain the procedure and put patients at ease. They should provide services in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner in compliance with established standards, policies, and procedures. They are expected to perform tasks independently without routine oversight and maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even under times of stress. The technologist must take appropriate and reasonable steps to resolve issues, effectively administer first aid, and use emergency equipment. Ensuring customer satisfaction by limiting wait times and providing courteous service is crucial. They should remain professional, review patient satisfaction scores, and develop action plans when required. The technologist is expected to demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills appropriate to the care of various age groups, including newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric. They may serve as preceptors by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives. The ability to take call, if required, is also necessary.
