Job Summary and Qualifications * This is a Full Time Day shift position, 4 days/week, 10 hour days. Call is required for this position * The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech assists credentialed providers with all diagnostic and interventional invasive cardiology procedures. This may include arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, implantable cardiac defibrillators, diagnostic and interventional, peripheral and coronary, interventional and thrombolytic therapy. What You Will Do In This Role: - Identify steps in established procedures to provide technical assistance for selected diagnostic and interventional invasive cardiology procedures, which include supply, equipment operation, monitoring, imaging and use of medical devices - Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data. - Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional CV procedures including preparation of supplies and instruments, preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices - Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician - Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy. - Assist to coordinate procedure schedule as assigned - Assist with inventory control as directed by the supervisor / manager - Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization - Other duties as assigned What Qualifications You Will Need: - Allied Health Degree or 3 years of Cath Lab or EP experience - Certified as an RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist), RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), or ARRT (Registered Radiographer) or 3 years Cath Lab or EP experience - Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross - ACLS issued within 1 year of hire date or transfer into position. ACLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals are hospitals for specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care. The facility has a dedicated cardiac emergency room. Medical City Spine Hospital has 25 beds. It provides spine care for common spine disorders. Spine care is also provided for rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities. Those include adult and pediatric scoliosis and spondylolistheses. We offer complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options.
