Job Description:
Sets the technical direction for a portfolio of critical sale
and servicing applications used to manage investment products,
using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Cloud-based architectures, and
Server-Side technologies -- Java, Spring, REST, APIs, and AOP.
Defines the next generation of business capabilities based on Cloud
services and Software as a Service (SaaS) technologies. Primary Responsibilities: Provides technical leadership and hands on mentorship to Agile
teams in preparing design artifacts and the implementation of
solutions. Provides mentorship to business partners, using Java, Spring,
Oracle, SQL, Salesforce, REST APIs (domain-driven design), Tableau,
OBIE, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. Crafts multi-year technical roadmaps for application
portfolios. Engages with peers across the enterprise to establish strategic
directions across business units. Provides comprehensive knowledge of integration patterns, APIs,
UIs, infrastructure, data architecture, security, and new
technologies. Drives solutions architecture design and ownership. Articulates architecture solution options to product owners and
architecture leadership. Works independently and with all levels of the organization,
including technical and non-technical team members to analyze user
needs and set the direction for software solutions. Develops and directs software system testing and validation
procedures, programming, and documentation. Supervises the work of programmers, technologists and
technicians, and other engineering and scientific personnel. Confers with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to
design systems and obtain information on project limitations and
capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software
systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to
predict and measure design outcomes and consequences. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years
of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
building enterprise data lakes for financial data, using Snowflake
and AWS Cloud services. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered
or four (4) years of experience building enterprise data lakes for
financial data, using Snowflake and AWS Cloud services. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) creating enterprise data lakes used
for analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning
(ML) capabilities on AWS and Snowflake, using big data processing
techniques and solutions -- Snowflake, Python, NIFI, and AWS
services; performing source code management and version control,
and integrating DevOps tools for automated deployments to build and
promote Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
practices. DE designing and implementing highly scalable and resilient
architectures using TOGAF enterprise standards; implementing high
availability and disaster recovery for critical OLTP and OLAP
systems, ensuring minimum downtime and close to zero data loss,
using on-premise Cloud and SAAS capabilities -- Oracle Dataguard,
Goldengate, Snowflake Tasks and Scheduler, and AWS Services; and
creating feedback loops to deliver operational intelligence
paradigms, using DataDog, jSonar, Power BI, and Tableau. DE designing and implementing Enterprise data lake data
encryption, masking, redaction, and tokenization, using Snowflake
secure UDFs and secure views; performing Tri-Secret Secure BYOK
encryption, using AWS KMS key and Snowflake HSM key; performing
network security implementation, using AWS Private Link and
Snowflake IP Whitelisting policies; and performing access control,
using role based and fine-grained access control techniques. DE designing and implementing Single Sign On (SSO) capabilities
to authenticate and connect proprietary client tools and Web
interfaces, using Ping Federate, Microsoft Active Directory, and
Azure Active Directory; performing data set authorization using
Role Based Access Control (RBAC); and performing tool integration,
